Bryson shoots 58 on the LIV Tour. Justin Thomas is out of the playoffs. Speith isn’t in great form. What will become of this year’s Ryder Cup?
Hard to say isn’t it. Given the governing bodies around it, I think the US has a bit more freedom. The PGA Tour doesn’t have as much say as the DP World Tour does in Europe, for example. But, what will Zach Johnson do?
He can’t ignore Koepka or De Chambles. Even Taylor Gooch is going awesome. Does he pick Thomas? Does the LIV divide run too deep to pick LIV players?
I hope not. The Ryder Cup is for the best from the USA and the best from Europe and the UK. If they playing on a mini tour outside of Scunthorpe but manage to win majors then you’d have to pick the player. Fuck this division shit. Let’s see the best play the best. The Ryder Cup, hopefully, will be about the golf and not two mega corporations playing idiotic games.
