I give lessons. Golf lessons.
When we meet for the first time I will ask what you want. Almost always the answer is the same.
“I want to be consistent.”
Well, that is fantastic. Consistent at what?
If a golf pro is going to help your game they will have an idea of what needs to happen. But, you are paying good money for this golf pro to help you. Why don’t you tell the pro exactly what is you want.
If you would like to hit a five yard fade all the time…tell him or her.
If you would like to get up and down 85% of the time…tell her or him.
The trick to getting better isn’t some magic advice. It’s creating a purpose. That purpose is yours and the lowly golf pro will guide you. But, you’d better be clear about what it is you want. Otherwise that good (or bad) money is just consistently going to waste.
