The world of golf equipment is ever-expanding and crazy expensive. The options for you to hit the Little White Ball around the paddock are far more than most of us can understand.

Take golf shafts, for example. What an endless pit of confusion that can be. We have fitters that are more than capable of putting into a shaft that optimises your numbers. Which is great. But what do YOU want? What do you and you coach want from your game?
I think to Nick Price when thinking about shafts. He wasn’t the longest (he wasn’t short). He liked his shafts to be heavy and really stiff. John Erickson who played the tour and has a site called http://www.advancedballstriking.com liked the shafts to be super stiff. The reason is that the guys and gals on tour like to have the control that less bend and torque afford them.
When it comes to your game, what is it you’re looking for in clubs? Are you looking for more distance? Are you looking for control? A combo perhaps?
It is imperative that you have a particular set of parameters for your club fitter. Getting clubs just because they go far is cool but is that what you need to compliment your swing, mental game, short game and putting?
