What would you play?

If money wasn’t a factor, what golf equipment would you play? Let’s face it, money is a bit of a factor at the moment – things have become awfully expensive! Let us not dwell on such realities. If you could choose anything at all what would it be? And would it be only one brand?…

Let us not dwell on such realities.

If you could choose anything at all what would it be? And would it be only one brand?

Perhaps it’s Titleist. They have world class offerings of woods, irons, wedges and putters, not to mention the ball. TaylorMade? Everything is really solid. Callaway has all the tools. Minus the ball, PING is up there. Srixon does everything. Mizuno is sick (in the cool/hip sense).

OR – would you choose a selection of all the goodies? Perhaps a TaylorMade Driver with PING fairways, Mizzy irons, Titleist Wedges, Odyssey Putter and a Srixon Ball?

Food for thought.

Just as a PGA pro, a word to the wise – play what gets you to the hole quicker. If that’s one brand, choice! If it’s a mish mash like my bag, even choicer!

PS. I’m not sponsored or have any affiliation with the brands above.

My Bag:

Driver:   Cobra RAD Speed 10.5* Project X HZRDUS Black shaft – x-flex

3 Wood:   Sonartec SS-03 15* Fujikura Tour Spec Vista Pro – x-flex

Hybrid:   Taylormade Rescue TP 2009 19* Aldila Voodoo VS8 – x-flex

Irons:   Mizuno MP-14 3 to P, custom grind, Hogan Apex 5 shafts

Wedges:   Titleist Vokey SM4 54* and 58*

Putter:   Yes! Callie 35”

Ball:   Bridgestone BXS (at the moment)

You can see I don’t tinker much. Though I am thinking about new irons.

  1. […] Why are you carrying a 3 iron? Are these the best irons? What would you play? […]
