Ah yes, a debate that rages on and will continue to rage on. There is virtue signaling and accusations and shit fired from both sides of the argument.  I see the latest is that some of the more well known European guys have resigned from the DP World Tour with many saying that it will mean no more Ryder Cup blah blah.

If I’m not mistaken the DP World Tour doesn’t solely own the European Ryder Cup team. I’m pretty sure the PGA Tour doesn’t own the US Team. I think the DP World Tour has a majority stake but the PGA’s of Europe and Great Britain have a 40% say.  The US Team, I think is controlled by the PGA of America not the PGA Tour. This is an important distinction. Do the LIV guys automatically give up their PGA memberships if they had them?

I see the PGA Championship next week has more club pros in it than it does LIV pros and Sergio Garcia is missing.

I guess until they (PGA Tour, DP World Tour, LIV, USPGA etc) come to an understanding and stop collectively throwing their toys out of the cot, the debate will go on.

For what it’s worth, I like watching good golf with great characters. If the golf is on and it’s good stuff I’ll watch it.
